Abstract

On June 26, 2010, the second “Yinghang Petrochemical–Zhisheng Stationery” badminton tournament was grandly held in Yinghang Petrochemical’s production workshop. The competition officially kicked off at 8:30 a.m., and the entire event was packed with thrilling moments, reaching one exciting climax after another in its latter stages.

The competition was organized by Manager Guo of the Human Resources Department. Before it began, Manager Guo outlined the rules and assigned personnel. Following that, Mr. Guo, General Manager of Zhisheng Stationery, addressed the event, emphasizing its significance and the objectives of this activity, and extended his best wishes for the competition’s success.

The tournament featured events such as men’s singles, women’s singles, and mixed team doubles. In the morning, a knockout stage was held, and after several rounds, four men and three women emerged to compete in the final showdown. Notably, among more than 30 female participants, all three representatives from Yinhang Petrochemical advanced to the finals thanks to their exceptional skill and stamina, ultimately securing first and second place. Zhisheng Stationery claimed third place. In the men’s competition, Zhisheng Stationery delivered a hard-fought performance to take first and second, while Yinhang Petrochemical finished third. In the subsequent mixed doubles event, the two teams were evenly matched; after three intense rounds, Yinhang Petrochemical edged out their opponents, with each of the three sets ending in very close scores. Though they fell short, Zhisheng Stationery’s team earned well-deserved respect for their spirited effort.

At 3:00 p.m., the entire competition concluded, followed by a lively awards ceremony during which the top executives of both companies presented prizes to our winning employees.

Both the athletes and the cheerleaders left the venue in high spirits, returning to their respective duties. Everyone is now even more eager for next year’s competition, hoping that their athletes and teams will achieve even greater success.
