Abstract

On the 9th of the month, the 2010 summer excursion for all employees of Yinhang Petrochemical kicked off with a rafting trip along the headwaters of the Hulan River. Nestled on the southern slopes of the western foothills of the Lesser Khingan Range, within the operational area of the Taoshan Forestry Bureau, the rafting stretch boasts both lush forests and picturesque pastoral scenery. The waterway features moderate elevation changes: gentle stretches invite leisurely enjoyment, while the more rapid sections offer thrilling yet safe adventures. As nearly a hundred rubber rafts carrying Yinhang staff in their distinctive orange work uniforms set out onto the river, the scene instantly transformed into a sea of joy.

This tour once again upheld the tradition of guided navigation: all participants were divided into eight teams, with staff from each department evenly distributed across the groups, fostering both collaborative teamwork and spirited competition to vie for first place.

After the rafting adventure, everyone changed into dry clothes and gathered around the campfire, watching fireworks, savoring a whole roasted lamb, singing and dancing, and raising their glasses in hearty toasts. Each group treated the crowd to a dazzling array of performances, filling the air with laughter and joy.

The next day, we arrived at Taoshan National Geological Park to admire its spectacular peaks and peculiar rock formations, while savoring the unique charm of northern forest culture. Our guides led us to view Lion‑Face Mountain, marvel at Lotus Stone, climb Suspended Sheep Peak, and gaze out over the Thousand‑Layer Cliff. Back at the foot of the mountain, we engaged in a series of team‑building activities—testing strength, fostering collaboration, tapping collective wisdom, and pushing endurance—culminating in the highlight of this summer excursion.

The two-day outing enlivened the workplace atmosphere, lifted employees’ spirits, and showcased the team’s spirit of hard work and upward momentum. Following the break, everyone returned to their respective posts in a relaxed and joyful mood.
