Abstract

On April 8–9, 2011, Yinhang Petrochemical convened its first-quarter sales work conference in the headquarters’ conference room. The meeting was chaired by Sales Director Zhang Hao, with all sales personnel in attendance. Participants reviewed and summarized the first-quarter performance and engaged in planning and discussion for the upcoming quarter’s initiatives.

First, the Sales Director presented a sales‑data analysis and summary of the first quarter’s performance, commended the teams and individuals who achieved notable results, and highlighted areas for improvement. This was followed by provincial managers reporting on their respective regions’ sales activities, showcasing the initiatives launched during the quarter, and sharing best practices to prepare for the next quarter. Finally, the team engaged in detailed, region‑by‑region discussions on the upcoming quarter’s plans, offering input and suggestions. With everyone fully energized, the sales force is poised to press forward toward the next quarter’s objectives. General Manager Zhou Zhongcheng also attended the meeting, engaging in lively dialogue with all sales personnel, providing guidance and setting expectations, and addressing key concerns—such as product mix and marketing initiatives—thereby inspiring and motivating the entire sales team.

In this quarter’s performance review, it is clear that sales planning has become more proactive than before. Many provinces have successfully completed their agent‑signing initiatives ahead of schedule, freeing up substantial time and resources to focus on marketing campaigns, industry conferences, and the acquisition of new customers. Sales‑force management has grown more systematic and data‑driven, with fairer and more balanced performance evaluations, significantly enhancing both sales capabilities and overall professional competence. Amid the volatile and upward‑trending international crude‑oil market, many manufacturers have faced supply shortages; nevertheless, Yinhang has continued to deliver strong results—high product quality, robust market sales, and highly efficient distribution.

Through the convening of the first-quarter sales work conference, we have grown more confident in building on our current momentum, going all out, and working diligently to meet new challenges.
