Abstract
To recognize outstanding units in workplace safety for 2011 and set exemplary standards, the Management Committee of the Daqing High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, based on the 2011 assessment and evaluation results, selected the zone’s advanced units in workplace safety. Yinhang Petrochemical once again earned the honor of “Advanced Unit in Workplace Safety” in 2011, a testament to its effective safety management and a source of motivation and encouragement for this year’s safety efforts.
Over the past year, Yinhang Petrochemical has focused on four key areas to ensure the effective implementation of safe production practices. First, it further refined its annual and long-term safety‑technical measures plan, annual work summary, and scheme for recognizing outstanding achievements in workplace safety. Second, it introduced a systematic safety management mechanism, reinforcing safety‑target management among production supervisors—shift leaders and team leaders—and ensuring that the responsibility system for workplace safety is cascaded down to every level, assigning accountability to individual employees. This approach aims to promptly identify and address potential hazards, maintain high safety standards, and clarify lines of responsibility. Third, the company intensified its safety‑education and training programs, conducting fire‑prevention seminars, emergency‑response drills, “Safety in My Heart” discussion forums, and “Ankang Cup” competitions for all staff, thereby safeguarding safe production across the organization. Fourth, it regularly organized comprehensive on‑site inspections of workplace safety, identifying and addressing equipment and operational conditions posing safety risks, with the goal of early detection, timely reporting, and prompt remediation.
