Abstract

Dear colleagues at Yinhang Petrochemical:
At 8:02 a.m. on April 20, a magnitude-7.0 earthquake struck Lushan County in Ya’an, Sichuan. As of now, 12 prefectures and cities, 33 counties, and 383,000 people in Sichuan have been affected; more than 170 have died, and over 6,900 have been injured. These figures are expected to continue rising, causing widespread concern.
Colleagues, let us mourn our fellow countrymen who have lost their lives and pray for the safety of those in the disaster-stricken areas. In the face of such natural disasters, we must offer our compassion and bring warmth to our compatriots who are enduring hardship…
Yinhang takes “making due contributions to society” as its corporate mission and hereby calls upon all colleagues:
Let us uphold the humanitarian spirit of “when one region is in distress, support comes from all directions” and extend a helping hand to the people in the disaster area—“Donate for Our Fellow Citizens in Ya’an and Lushan.” Your heartfelt generosity is a beacon of hope as they rebuild their homes; your act of kindness is a warm ray of sunshine that brings comfort to the hearts of those affected.
(Note: There is no limit to the amount of donations; please submit your specific donation amounts to the Pilotage Personnel Department by April 25, 2013.)
