“I think we were simply doing something ordinary during an extraordinary time,” said Zhang Guojun, Deputy General Manager of Yinhang Petrochemical, modestly, in an interview. “No matter the circumstances, as long as our customers have a need, we will spare no effort to meet their requirements.”
On January 20, just ten days before the 2014 Spring Festival, Yinhang Petrochemical, located in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, suddenly received an urgent order for 20 drums of lubricating grease from Baotou Iron & Steel Group. Under normal circumstances, the sales department would follow standard procedures to arrange shipment, with delivery expected within three to five days. However, with the Spring Festival approaching, all logistics companies had suspended operations, making it impossible to fulfill the order.
“No matter what challenges arise, Yinhang will never let its customers suffer any losses. Since logistics couldn’t arrange the shipment, the company dispatched a vehicle to deliver the goods personally,” said General Manager Zhang, as he picked up the phone to notify the fleet. After all, the journey from Daqing City in Heilongjiang Province to Baotou City in Inner Mongolia spans nearly 2,000 kilometers and takes three days one way—but Yinhang paid no heed to such obstacles, steadfastly upholding its commitment to integrity.
