Abstract


 
As emission standards become increasingly stringent, governments worldwide are imposing ever stricter requirements on diesel vehicle emissions; the latest standards place greater demands on engines, Lubricating oil Manufacturers have faced significant challenges. At the end of 2016, the API introduced two new diesel engine oil specifications, CK‑4 and FA‑4, to meet diverse engine‑specific technical requirements and help diesel vehicle manufacturers comply with stringent exhaust‑emission regulations.

CK-4 is currently the highest API grade for diesel engines. Lubricating oil It is backward‑compatible with CJ‑4 and CI‑4 Plus‑grade oils. Compared to CJ‑4, CK‑4 imposes stricter requirements for oil oxidation, engine wear, and blowby control. Meanwhile, the API FA‑4 grade is a fuel‑economy‑oriented formulation that emphasizes even more stringent environmental standards. Due to its lower high‑temperature, high‑shear performance, it is not compatible with diesel‑oil specifications such as CJ‑4 or CI‑4. It is suitable only for certain newly manufactured diesel engines that meet on‑road exhaust‑emission regulations and places very high demands on diesel‑engine performance.

Currently, Ling Hang has obtained the latest API CK-4/FA-4 certification. As shown on the official API certification website (https://engineoil.api.org/Directory/EolcsSearch), Ling Hang has passed API certifications for a total of 18 grades and specifications. In other words, Ling Hang has successfully achieved all API certifications at the mid-range and higher levels.
