In the first quarter, China won the opening possession. At the start, neither team found their rhythm, and it wasn’t until about two minutes in that Slovenia’s Vunjak broke free for a fast-break layup. The next two minutes saw both sides miss repeatedly, before Hu Jinqiu drew a foul and converted one of two free throws. Then, Kelanbaik grabbed a rebound in the paint and slammed it home for a 2-plus-1. Formiga hit a three from the right corner, tying the score at 9–9. China responded with a 4–0 run, prompting Slovenia to call a timeout. After the break, Formiga buried another three from the right wing. Late in the quarter, both teams’ shooting improved, and the score settled at 21–14, with China holding a seven-point lead.

At the start of the second quarter, Hozic hit a long-range pull-up jumper from the right wing. Wu Qian drained two consecutive three-pointers from the left corner, and a 6-0 run extended the lead to 10 points. Gao Shiyan caught a screen and sank a high‑post jump shot; Slovenia called a timeout. After the break, on a fast break, Hu Jinqiu finished with a one‑on‑one layup for a dunk. China’s offensive efficiency steadily improved, and a 10-0 run pushed the margin to 22 points. With Hozic knocking down another pull‑up three, the half ended with China leading 47-28.

At the start of the second half, China opened with an 8-0 run, before Santilli hit a three from the top of the key to stem the bleeding. Wu Qian received the pass, drove along the baseline, and scored on a layup, prompting Slovenia to call a timeout. After the break, China responded with a 5-2 spurt, and Vasli grabbed an offensive rebound and converted a putback. With Martinček sinking a pull-up three, China extended their lead to 66-42, up by 24 points.

In the fourth quarter, Tao Hanlin posted up in the paint, turned, and sank a hook shot; on the ensuing fast break, Denic responded with a powerful post-up hook of his own. Kolanbek buried a deep two from the corner, and Feng Na Che accelerated to drive into the lane, faking past his defender for a floater. Ren Junfei drained an open three-pointer, prompting China to call a timeout. After the break, Santilli caught a screen and hit a jump shot for two.
