Abstract

The 8th Mohe Ice and Snow Auto Cross-Country Race officially kicked off at 7:55 a.m. on February 25, with Heilongjiang Yinhang finishing second in the qualifying round held on the 24th. Lubricating oil Racers Yang Tao and Wang Liang started on time at 7:57 a.m. The race ran from Beijicun to Gucheng Island in Xing’an Town, then continued to Yaksa. At 1:00 p.m., after regrouping in Xing’an Town, they returned to Beijicun. The entire course was an ice-and-snow track.

At the morning departure, China Central Television and Heilongjiang TV provided coverage of Heilongjiang Province’s pilotage. Lubricating oil The racing team’s start was broadcast live on site. However, in recent days, Mohe’s minimum temperature has already dropped to minus 39 degrees Celsius, putting not only the drivers’ skills and endurance to the test, but also posing a severe challenge to the race cars themselves. During the competition, many teams saw their vehicles encounter problems one after another, and for safety reasons, numerous drivers were forced to withdraw. Yang Tao and Wang Liang, drivers of the Heilongjiang Yinhang Lubricant Racing Team in the gasoline class, delivered an outstanding performance in the first half of the race, ranking first overall and widely regarded as the strongest contenders for the championship. Over the years, Yang Tao has participated multiple times in ice-and-snow car challenges and rally races, winning several titles and becoming a well-known domestic driver. This time, the field includes many powerful teams—such as GAC Changfeng South China Tiger, Beijing Guanghe Ruiyi, Shenyang Tianhe Cruz, and the Chengdu Rural Commercial Bank Team—and many drivers are seasoned rally heroes who have competed in the Dakar Rally, along with several national‑level champions. It’s a showdown among top-tier competitors, making the event all the more thrilling and captivating. Yet racing is unpredictable: treacherous road conditions, vehicle performance, and even the state of the engine oil can all affect the outcome. In the second half of the official race, as Yang Tao and Wang Liang launched their final sprint toward the finish line, poor road conditions caused their tires to sink into an icy pit covered with snow. Undeterred, Yang Tao worked together with his co‑driver Wang Liang to extricate the car, quickly regrouped, and pressed on to complete the race. Their tenacious spirit earned praise from fellow drivers and the media; though they fell short of the championship, they left with honor, receiving warm applause from the assembled press and spectators upon crossing the finish line. Meanwhile, the Heilongjiang Yinhang Lubricant Racing Team’s diesel‑class entrants performed admirably, and their final results will be announced at the awards ceremony and celebratory banquet on the evening of the 26th.

For the latest news on the event and the Heilongjiang Pilotage Lubricant Racing Team, please stay tuned to upcoming coverage on China Central Television, Heilongjiang TV, Guangdong TV, and major online portals.
