The “Yinhang Petrochemical · Zhisheng Stationery” 2011 Long-Distance Running Competition Kicks Off Today

Abstract

Daqing’s two well-known sister companies, Yinhang Petrochemical and Zhisheng Stationery, hosted a long-distance running event themed “Healthy Living, Happy Work.” The competition spanned two days, with intense races held on May 28 and 29 at Times Square and Iron Man Square, respectively. More than a hundred employees from both companies enthusiastically signed up to take part.

The first day of the competition took place at Times Square, with awards presented in separate men’s and women’s categories for first, second, and third places. Over the weekend, Times Square bustled with crowds and fluttering flags as employees from Yinhang Petrochemical and Zhisheng Stationery lined up in eye‑catching blue and red team uniforms, awaiting the start. At 8:30 a.m., the starting gun fired, and athletes sprang from the starting line, creating a vibrant, high‑energy scene of blue and red along the perimeter running route. After more than an hour of fierce competition, Wang Aiming from Yinhang Petrochemical’s Quality Control Department claimed the men’s title with a commanding lead, while Sun Weiyu from the Technical Department and Zhou Qun from the Logistics Department secured second and third place, respectively. In the women’s division, Xiao Bing from the Logistics Department finished third.

Life is about movement, and a healthy lifestyle is the one most championed and encouraged in modern society. To strengthen employees’ physical fitness, foster a vibrant corporate cultural atmosphere, and enable everyone to work in a joyful, health‑focused environment, two major companies meticulously organized this employee long-distance running event. Throughout the race, participants embodied a spirit of spirited competition and relentless determination, sprinting along the course and demonstrating exemplary sportsmanship. Off the track, spectators were equally enthusiastic, with employees and members of the public gathered in the square cheering loudly and rallying behind the runners.
