Abstract

Yinhang Petrochemical is a national key‑supported high‑tech enterprise. Since its inception, it has successfully developed numerous patented research achievements, with its products reaching internationally advanced standards. Its robust R&D capabilities serve as a critical guarantee for the reliable performance of Yinhang’s product line in the market. Led by Mr. Huang Guoliang—Chief Technical Engineer at Yinhang Petrochemical, a senior professor at the China Petroleum & Chemical Research Institute, and a renowned lubrication expert—the company benefits from an innovation‑driven R&D base jointly established with Harbin Institute of Technology, providing strong technical support. This collaboration has enabled Yinhang Petrochemical to pioneer many innovative and exploratory research directions in the fields of wear resistance, friction reduction, and lubrication. Notably, its patented technology “Composite Anti‑Wear Energy‑Saving Agent and Its Preparation Method” has been officially registered with the National Intellectual Property Administration. The composite energy‑saving agent developed under this invention overcomes the hydrolytic instability inherent in borate compounds and, through synergistic interactions among multiple extreme‑pressure and anti‑wear mechanisms, exhibits outstanding extreme‑pressure and anti‑wear performance, along with superior rust‑preventive, thermal‑stability, oxidation‑stability, and hydrolytic‑stability characteristics. It is widely employed in Yinhang’s applications. Lubricating oil The product is highly regarded and acclaimed within the industry.

A pioneering technical team with forward-thinking vision regularly participates in various lubrication‑technology conferences and seminars hosted by renowned additive manufacturers at home and abroad. It has been designated a technical partner by the American company Afton and collaborates with prestigious universities and leading research institutes both domestically and internationally, expanding its reach beyond China to the global stage.

In 2009, Yinhang Petrochemical secured a letter of intent for friendly cooperation with the Canadian Light Source (CLS), Canada’s national synchrotron radiation facility. Dr. Zhou Jigang, a renowned industrial research scientist at CLS and a Chinese-Canadian, has been dedicated to the development of next-generation environmentally friendly engine oils, with research focused on: the synthesis and processing of nanomaterials for use in clean energy; and the characterization of nanomaterials using synchrotron radiation techniques. Lubricating oil Research on the mechanisms of action of additives and their effects on the deactivation of automotive exhaust catalysts; application of synchrotron radiation to investigate electronic structures and material spectroscopy, as well as development of novel environmentally friendly engine oils. Dr. Zhou, though based overseas, remains deeply committed to his homeland and actively supports technological R&D within Chinese‑owned enterprises. He has provided technical assistance to Yinhang Petrochemical in lubricant film‑formation and characterization, engaging in numerous exchanges and discussions that have led to significant consensus. The Canadian Light Source (CLS), a world‑renowned cutting‑edge research facility, is one of only four third‑generation synchrotron light sources globally. Jointly funded by the Canadian government, the University of Saskatchewan, and private investors, it cost approximately US$1.735 billion and occupies an area roughly equivalent to a soccer field—making it Canada’s largest scientific research project to date. By harnessing “high‑quality photons” emitted through high‑energy particle acceleration, the CLS serves as an invaluable resource for advancing related scientific studies. Lubricants are highly technology‑intensive products, with their actual performance resulting from complex physical and chemical processes. Film‑forming behavior and critical surface phenomena have long been recognized as the most crucial determinants of lubrication and anti‑wear mechanisms. Today, the most advanced characterization techniques worldwide are rooted in optics, and the CLS synchrotron can probe structural features and analyze myriad physical and chemical processes. The data obtained enable scientists to design and refine surface architectures, thereby developing more effective and diversified lubrication solutions. Yinhang Lubricants collaborates closely with leading domestic and international research institutes, pursuing independent R&D. The company has already earned considerable recognition and a strong reputation within the lubricant industry and remains dedicated to providing its customers with the highest‑quality lubricants and services throughout their lifetimes.
