Abstract
On that long, clear day, the sun blazed overhead. On May 23, the first rope-skipping competition of Yinhang Petrochemical kicked off amid a tense and spirited atmosphere.
Over the past two weeks, all departments at Yinhang Petrochemical have been actively preparing for the competition, and the jump-rope events have been in full swing. Today, the competitors finally had their chance to showcase their skills. As soon as the starting whistle blew, every Yinhang team member went all out, giving their utmost for the sake of the team’s honor. Athletes darted through the ropes, while the cords seemed to dance above the crowd; cheers and applause rose and fell throughout the venue, creating a lively atmosphere filled with spirited energy and vibrant enthusiasm.
This competition featured three events: individual rope skipping, group figure‑eight rope skipping, and team rope skipping. In the individual event, Zhou Qun from the production workshop took first place, easily winning with a score of 169 jumps in one minute. In the team event, the four teams—“Self‑Strengthening,” “Unceasing,” “Virtuous Virtue,” and “Carrying All Things”—gave it their all. Ultimately, the “Virtuous Virtue” team claimed first place, while the “Carrying All Things” team narrowly missed out, finishing second by just thirteen jumps.
This competition has enriched the pilots’ leisure activities and strengthened their physical and mental well-being. More importantly, it has showcased the pilots’ spirit of unity and sincere collaboration, as well as their determination to lead by example and work together in pursuit of excellence.
After the competition, the pilots will once again plunge into their demanding work. Upholding their time-honored tradition of standing shoulder to shoulder and forging ahead together, they will press forward with determination, rise to every challenge, and continue to strive for new successes on the road ahead.
