The “6th China Corporate Social Responsibility Summit and the 3rd Launch Ceremony of the ‘China Corporate Social Responsibility Report White Paper,’” initiated by Xinhuanet and co-organized by the Center for Corporate Social Responsibility at the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, was grandly held in Beijing on January 17, 2014. The summit is currently the most authoritative and influential platform for CSR dialogue in China.
Wang Hongzhang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Construction Bank Corporation; Zhang Jindong, Chairman of Suning.com Group Co., Ltd.; Shi Wenchao, Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman, and President of China UnionPay; Jin Youhua, Chairman of Hefei Royalstar Sanyo Electric Appliance Co., Ltd.; Sun Yiping, President of Mengniu Dairy Group; Gao Dekang, Chairman of Bosideng Holdings Limited; Dong Jianyue, Chairman of GF Bank Co., Ltd.; and many other leaders from prominent domestic enterprises attended this summit. Zhou Zhongcheng, General Manager of Daqing High-tech Industrial Development Zone Yinhang Petrochemical Co., Ltd., was also invited to participate.
In his address, Tian Shubin, President of Xinhua Net, stated that today we gather once again to focus on the development of corporate social responsibility, with the aim of further promoting outstanding enterprises that embrace social responsibility, fostering broader and more diverse exchanges and knowledge sharing, providing a wider platform for disseminating the advanced responsibility philosophies and innovative initiatives of leading entrepreneurs, and helping more companies realize the Chinese Dream of corporate social responsibility.
Zhou Zhongcheng, General Manager of Yinhang Petrochemical, stated in an interview with Xinhuanet that, moving forward, Yinhang will continue to strive and innovate in fulfilling its social responsibilities. He expressed confidence that Yinhang, as a national brand, will go from strength to strength.
