The 2014 China Police Vehicle Tactical and Technical Long-Distance Pursuit Exercise Competition has concluded.

(Excerpted from a Xinhua Net report dated October 17, 2014) This event commenced with a review and departure ceremony at the Beijing Police College, bringing together elite officers from multiple provinces across China. Co-hosted by the Inner Mongolia Police Automobile Club and the Beijing Police Automobile Club, and jointly organized with Guizhou Police Vocational College and the Shandong Weifang Police Training Base, the competition was a long-distance tactical driving exercise for police vehicles. The route spanned over 5,000 kilometers, passing through Baotou, Xining, and Golmud before concluding in Lhasa. Along the way, participants engaged in a series of policing skill challenges, including long-range pursuit, checkpoint interception, apprehension of fugitives, and encirclement-and-capture operations, while testing their driving abilities under extreme conditions such as thin air at high altitudes and challenging road surfaces. The event posed formidable challenges to both personnel and vehicles, providing an excellent showcase of vehicle technical performance, off-road capability, and endurance in long-distance, extreme driving scenarios, thereby offering valuable technical benchmarks and guidance for future police vehicle procurement. The “China Police Beijing–Inner Mongolia–Tibet Long-Distance Tactical Vehicle Drilling and Pursuit Exercise” was exclusively organized by Beijing Jiayanhua Ye Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., with strong support from sponsors including Daqing Yinhang Petrochemical, Pamir Tianquan, Quanpin Brand Management, Lübiao Technology, and 5100. The event concluded successfully in Lhasa. At the venue, more than thirty police vehicles roared across the course, delivering a dazzling array of maneuvers—drifting, emergency stops, and formation driving—demonstrating exceptional driving skills. Throughout the exercise, all participating vehicles kept their emergency lights flashing, while patriotic education was provided to all officers and staff, significantly reinforcing their resolve to safeguard national security, maintain social order, protect citizens’ personal safety and freedom, preserve public property, and prevent, deter, and punish illegal and criminal activities.
