Abstract
On May 13, the Ling Hang Education Development Foundation’s commemorative plaque awarding ceremony was held in Room 616 of the Administration Building. Ling Hang Petrochemical donated RMB 1 million to the Harbin Institute of Technology Education Development Foundation, earmarked for discipline development, laboratory construction, and teaching awards within the School of Chemical Engineering. Vice President Xu Dianguo presented the donating organization with a commemorative plaque, a certificate, and a plaque recognizing outstanding contributions to education.
Cui Guolan, Vice Chair of the Foundation and Vice President of the Alumni Association, attended the donation ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by Zheng Shixian, Secretary-General of the Foundation. At the event, Guo Junwei, Deputy Secretary-General of the Foundation, read out the decision on the award presentation.
Zhou Zhongcheng, Chairman of Ling Hang Petrochemical, outlined the company’s development and operational overview. He stated that as the company grows and expands, it has an obligation to assume greater social responsibility, and that contributing to education is a noble endeavor that benefits both the present and future generations. He expressed his hope that, in the days ahead, the company will receive assistance and support from the university—particularly from the College of Chemical Engineering—in areas such as technological innovation and upgrading.
